Cheap not always better
Last week, Bayerische Energieversorgungsgesellschaft (BEV) filed for insolvency. Even if BEV can no longer supply its customers with electricity and gas, they are neither left in the dark nor in the cold. In that case, the local basic provider jumps in, in Landshut these are the municipal utilities. "The affected customers are currently receiving an information letter from us," says Stadtwerke sales manager Mathias Hösl.
The BEV informed on their website that customers would not have to terminate. As a precautionary measure, the consumer advice center and the municipal utilities nevertheless recommend terminating the contract extraordinarily and justifying this with the delivery deadline.
In recent weeks, consumer centers have reported on several occasions that BEV has experienced increasing customer complaints and massive price increases.
After TeldaFax, FlexStrom and CareEnergy, an energy provider with a questionable business model is now going bankrupt again. In order to attract customers, low-priced bidders often lure you to get started with low prices or bonuses, afterwards the prices will be increased accordingly.
Hösl holds little of lock offers. "Stadtwerke relied on security of supply, trust and stability. We buy the electricity demand of our customers with foresight and with a sense of proportion and do not put on risk. "The price structure of cheap people and special lock offers can not offer the Stadtwerke like most basic suppliers because of the special supply order. "But we stand by our word that we are there for our customers, both inside and outside Landshut," emphasizes Hösl. , "We are convinced that it pays off in the long term for customers to rely on the on-site service provider who directly deals with the concerns of the customers and also does something for the city community in the form of investments in infrastructure and sponsorship measures."

Stadtwerke Landshut will ship around 67,000 bills for electricity, natural gas, district heating, water and wastewater to their customers in the period from Friday, 11 January 2019 until the end of January.
Despite the many legal requirements that energy suppliers must always take into account when presenting the bill, Stadtwerke endeavors to make invoices as customer-friendly and understandable as possible. Should any questions about components on the annual consumption billing be open, there is an interactive invoice explanation on www.stadtwerke-landshut.de. Here customers receive additional explanations of what the individual elements on the bill mean.
Naturally, the staff at the customer center in the Old Town 74 can also answer questions by calling 0800 0871 871 (free of charge from the German landline) or by e-mail at info@stadtwerke-landshut.de. Since more than 67,000 bills are sent, the public utilities ask for understanding, if there are temporary bottlenecks and the answering of the questions can take longer than usual. But it ensures that every request is processed.
Changes and corrections can also be made in the following weeks. Many issues, such as increasing the monthly discount rate, can also be changed via the online customer portal on the homepage (www.stadtwerke-landshut.de/kundenportal).

This affects the stops at Moniberg (line 5), at Hofberg (line 7) and from Birkenberg to Lainerbuckel (line 10). Lines 5 and 7 leave from / to the Hauptfriedhof or Altstadt stop. The line 10 goes from the sports center West to the station Goldinger Straße and back.
The line 1 goes in the direction of the main station on the Wittstraße and not on the inner Münchner Straße / Grätzberg.
According to weather forecasts today, heavy snowfall is expected to continue throughout the day, making it difficult to predict at the moment when driving can run smoothly again.
